Monday, Sept. 10

Police got a call about a possible drunk driver throwing nip liquor bottles out the window while driving down Main Street at 7:39 a.m.

A Main Street man reported being harassed by his girlfriend.

Police told a man on Seymour Street to mind his clipping after debris from tree trimmings ended up in the street.

Police turned over two juvenile boys to their parents after getting a call from a person who reported two possibly drunken boys on Franklin Street. The call came in at 5:45 p.m.

A caller complained about a man walking back and forth in front of his home on Davis Street.

A woman on Fatima Drive requested a police escort while she retrieved her car from her parents’ house.

Tuesday, Sept. 11

An Arlington Avenue resident reported the theft of a car five days earlier.

Police got a call about a wild animal trapped in a Warren Avenue home. No word on the species.

Rebecca D’Agostino, 45, of 177 Main St., Apt. 3, was charged with misdemeanor shoplifting after she allegedly stole a six pack of beer from Ocean State Liquors. An employee told police he saw her take the beer and go outside, where she sat down on a large rock and cracked open a can.

Police got a call about a possible drunk driver who hit a curb on Main Street just before 3:30 p.m. Police spoke to the man, who told them he swerved to avoid an obstacle in the road.

James L. Principe, 50, of 134 Kickemuit Road, was charged with violating a protective order.

A Libby Lane resident reported receiving harassing emails.

Wednesday, Sept. 12

A caller from Main Street reported smelling marijuana just before 7:30 a.m.

A caller told police about a dead bird he found on Child Street, opposite the post office.

Susan A. Salvatore, 55, of 195 Market St., Apt. 1, was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after an incident.

Raymond J. Mahoney, 35, of 580 Main St., second floor, was charged with being a fugitive from justice out of Barnstable, Ma. 

A caller complained about loud music on Main Street.

Thursday, Sept. 13

A Maple Street man called police after noticing just before 6:30 a.m. that several doors on a neighbor’s car were open.

A Main Street caller reported the theft of binoculars from a parked car.

Rebecca D’Agostino, 45, of 177 Main St., Apt. 3, arrested on Tuesday for allegedly stealing a six-pack of beer from a Metacom Avenue liquor store, was arrested again on a shoplifting charge after police got a call from an employee at Patriot Liquors on Main Street. The man told police that he saw Ms. D’Agostino steal two bottles of cognac and vodka and then returned about 20 minutes later, when she allegedly stole two more bottles. In addition to shoplifting, police also charged her with disorderly conduct, simple assault or battery and resisting arrest.

Police got a call about a suspicious package on the front lawn of a Maple Street home. It turned out to be tea.

Alex Remington, 20, of Bristol, was arrested on a Bristol warrant and handed over to officers in that town.

Friday, Sept. 14

A caller complained about loud music coming from a gym on New Industrial Road.

A caller from Almy Avenue reported spotting a coyote in the backyard.

Fire crews evacuated a building on Child Street after an odor of gas was detected.

A caller reported a person driving a car while talking on the phone on Main Street.

A South Cornell Avenue woman requested a no trespass order be filed against her neighbor.

Corey O’Blenis, 40, of 7 Munro Ave., was charged with simple assault or battery and disorderly conduct, after police were called to Metacom Avenue at 7:13 p.m. to tend to a possible overdose victim. Authorities administered Narcan, an anti-opioid, and transported one patient to the hospital.

Saturday, Sept. 15

A caller complained about a dog locked in a car on Child Street.

A Miller Street woman who went out for a walk and found her car gone upon her return called police to report it stolen. She later cancelled the complaint, saying she later realized she’d parked it elsewhere.

Lucas Travis, 27, of Barrington, was charged with disorderly conduct and simple assault or battery, after a caller from Market Street told police at 5:31 p.m. that he had just been assaulted. The alleged victim was transported to the hospital.

A caller complained about fireworks at Wood and Barney streets. Police arrived and found only a child playing with a cap gun.

Sunday, Sept. 16

Zachary J. Caron, 27, of Rumford, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after police pulled him over at Main and Broad streets at 1:21 a.m.

A Coomer Avenue man called police at 4:31 a.m. after looking out and seeing someone trying to tamper with his vehicle.

Jason M. Furtado, 38, of 223 Child St., Apt. 1, was charged with domestic disorderly conduct and domestic vandalism/malicious injury to property, after police were called to Child Street at 10:34 a.m. by a woman who said her boyfriend had vandalized her car.

A Market Street man reported his bicycle missing.

Jose C. Rego, 44, of 18 Barden Lane, was arrested on a Rhode Island Family Court warrant.
