A landlord asked the police for advice on how to deal with a tenant.
A Child Street resident reported the theft of a flag from his home. He called back later to report finding the flag.
Maria G. Costa, 55, of 28 Wood St., was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after police said she collided with a fence on Barney Street just after 12:30 p.m.
A caller from Lyndon Street reported seeing a man jump through the window of a house next door. It turned out to be no problem; a worker at the house had accidentally locked himself out.
Decorations were stolen from a yard on Child Street.
An Arlington Avenue resident reported receiving threatening messages.
Wednesday, June 1
A Woodbine Avenue resident called police after a bat got into the the house. The same resident called back nearly two hours later, at 2:02 a.m., to report that the animal was still there.
A man brought in a wallet he’d found; police contacted the owner. Nothing was missing.
A Child Street resident called the police after coming across a large snapping turtle in the yard.
A Davis Street resident complained that an unwanted man kept returning after being told to leave numerous times. Police advised the man to not return.
A Union Street resident reported a fraud scam.
A caller from Birchswamp Road told police that several people vandalized a neighbor’s car and then took off in a white Buick.
Someone stole plants from in front of a Water Street building.
A Metacom Avenue resident reported the theft of a Social Security Card.
A Water Street resident complained about receiving repeated harassing phone calls.
A caller reported seeing a man climb through a window of a vacant apartment on Metacom Avenue.
Someone reported that people were fishing for crabs along the shore near Kelly Street.
Thursday, June 2
A Park Street caller reported being “not happy” with the language someone used in a text message.
A Main Street man called police after someone went through his car.
A car parked along Water Street was damaged by a tree limb.
Someone complained bout excessively loud music on Wilbur Avenue. The call came in at 4:51 p.m.
Someone complained about cars drag racing on Seymour Street.
Friday, June 3
A cow wandered on to Serpentine Road, but was back on private property upon the police’s arrival.
A caller from Water Street complained about a “recurring pattern” of a neighbor power washing in the middle of the night.
A caller complained about a child “constantly screaming.” Police noted that children were playing with a parent; there was no problem.
Someone complained about kids throwing trash all over the basketball court on Wood Street.
Saturday, June 4
Loose cows were spotted on and around Arlington Avenue.
The animal control officer removed a snapping turtle from the middle of Schoolhouse Road.
The animal control officer removed a squirrel trapped in a trash can on Asylum Road.
Police spoke to the owner of a dog reported barking on Main Street.
Sean V. Fisher, 21, of 394 Metacom Ave., Apt. 1F, was arrested on a Sixth Division District Court bench warrant, after a traffic stop on Market Street at 12:30 p.m.
Police got a call about a man lying on the ground on Market Street. They subsequently called for a rescue as he was intoxicated and had fallen.
Three motorcycles were reported racing on Touisset Road.
Michael Reynolds, 29, of 3 Union St., second floor, was arrested on a Sixth Division District Court bench warrant, after police were called to Union Street for a dispute.
Someone complained about fireworks being lit near Jamiel’s Park.
Sunday, June 5
Warren firefighters aboard Marine 4, located a 32-foot Sea Ray reported as lost and guided it and its owner back to Warwick.
Maria G. Costa, 55, of 28 Wood St., was arrested on a Sixth Division District Court bench warrant.
The animal control officer picked up a cat that may have been abandoned on Water Street.
Monday, June 6
A low-hanging branch was making Touisset Road impassable; police called the DPW and the branch was removed.
Multiple items were reported stolen from a home on Child Street.
