Warren police logs: Woman loses dog, won't look for it

Monday, July 3

A Market Street woman who had an argument with her boyfriend called police and told them she wanted him removed.

A crowing rooster drew police to Main Street and Truman Avenue at 12:15 p.m. Must’ve slept late.

A man called from Davis Street to report being threatened.

A Taddy Avenue woman reported having a run-in with her mother-in-law.

A Main Street man called to report that a drunk woman was trying to take his car for a drive.

Fireworks complaints came in from several areas of town.

A caller from Main Street told police that a woman was banging on the windows of his truck and wouldn’t let him leave.

Tuesday, July 4

Fireworks complaints were called in from numerous locations throughout the day.

A Metacom Avenue woman said she was being harassed every time she visited her boyfriend.

A Davis Street resident complained that neighbors were smoking marijuana.

A bike was stolen from a Locust Terrace home.

Two girls were spotted driving a golf cart around Fatima Drive. Officers told them to put it away.

Surveillance cameras were vandalized on Arlington Avenue.

A caller from Central Ave reported seeing a coyote in the area.

Wednesday, July 5

Someone dumped a large amount of furniture along the side of a Metacom Avenue building.

A loud music complaint came in from Long Lane.

Thursday, July 6

A Metacom Avenue man reported receiving harassing text and phone messages.

Michael D. Harris, 33, of 61 Union St., was arrested on a Rhode Island Superior Court warrant.

A caller reported loud music on Union Street.

A Pennsylvania Avenue woman called police after she said her landlord changed the locks to her apartment without telling her.

A Main Street caller complained of a neighbor’s barking dogs.

Friday, July 7

Police got a call about an injured crow on Stuart Street.

Someone sprayed graffiti on a bench on Turner Street.

A caller reported her dog got loose “again” but told police she was not going to look for it. Instead, she wanted the dog officer to pick it up and put it in the animal shelter for the weekend.

Saturday, July 8

A Sisson Street man complained about someone “blating” music in the area.

A Seymour Street resident saw multiple people using narcotics.

A Child Street man reported that a woman stole his money.

A Hanley Farm Road woman told police there was a sick groundhog in her yard. Police reported that the animal was “dispatched.”

A Child Street caller complained about a man who appeared drunk.

A Kickemuit Road woman complained about a large party in her neighbors’ yard.

A caller from Warren Avenue said there was a man outside her apartment who would not leave.

Sunday, July 9

A Cutler Street resident complained about a neighbor burning plastic in the back yard. It turned out to be wood in a fire pit.

Monday, July 10

A caller from Davis Street reported that someone driving through the neighborhood broke out the window of a parked car while passing.
