A Metacom Avenue man faces multiple charges after police raided his home Friday morning, seizing about an ounce of crack cocaine and about the same amount of marijuana.

David M. Salvatore, 56, of 385 Metacom Ave., Apt. 3R, was charged with felonymanufacturing/possession/delivery of Schedule I/II drugs, possession of marijuana, first offense (more than one ounce) and felony maintaining a common drug nuisance, after a several month investigation.

Warren Police Lt. Roy Borges said police had been watching Mr. Salvatore’s apartment for several months after getting reports of drug activity in the area.

“There were people coming in and out of there” on a regular basis, Lt. Borges said. “We’d received some complaints.”

The raid yielded 28 grams of crack cocaine in a pill bottle, and officers also found a bag containing about an ounce of marijuana.

Mr. Salvatore did not enter a plea during his arraignment Friday in Sixth Division District Court. He was appointed a public defender and is being held at the ACI pending a bail hearing on Nov. 10.
