A Warren man is being held at the ACI after allegedly exposing himself to a Warren girl waiting at a school bus stop last month.

Police arrested Joshua D. Strother, 24, of 12 Baker St., Sunday, March 11, on a warrant stemming from an incident that occurred in Warren on Friday, Feb. 2.

Deputy Warren Police Chief Joseph Loiselle said the girl was waiting for her school bus in South Warren when a man, later identified as Mr. Strother, drove by her several times before stopping to ask if she wanted to take a ride with him.

“When he stopped, she could see that he had no pants on and he was masturbating,” Deputy Chief Loiselle said.

The girl avoided eye contact with the man but noted his plate number as he drove away, telling the bus driver about it when she arrived a few minutes later. The bus driver called police and, based on the girl’s description, investigated and later issued a warrant for Mr. Strother’s arrest.

Mr. Strother faces charges of enticement of a child and indecent exposure/disorderly conduct. He appeared before a justice of the peace and, unable to post $5,000 bail with surety, was transported to the ACI, where he remains.
