The state Department of Transportation project to replace the “Broken Bridge” connecting the bike path that leads to Hugh Cole Elementary School and the Pete Sepe Pavilion to the west, has commenced. Heavy machinery began driving piles earlier this month.
The $5.85 million project, paid through state funding, is anticipated to be completed in 2023. DOT instructs residents to, “Please use caution along Barker Avenue as construction vehicles will be entering and leaving the work zone.”
