Waterfire lights up Providence on Saturday night

A Full Lighting of Waterfire Providence takes place this Saturday, June 3. Supported by the Rhode Island School of Design, the event features an array of food vendors spread out over Washington Street, Canal Walk, and College Street; an arts festival on on Washington and Steeple streets; and a Steeple Street music stage featuring Funkademic. Funkademic is a musical ensemble based in Providence that plays funk, soul, and R&B on period-correct instruments. 

The festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. and continue until midnight.
