Westport has launched its all new town website —check it out at westport-ma.com

Town Administrator Tim King and department heads have been working with Virtual Towns & Schools for months to create the site that is meant to be easier to navigate and update than the town’s previous website.

The cover page includes important public notices, a calendar which provides instant information about daily meetings and events, and links to some of the most-used functions — property maps, town beach and shellfishing information, and buttons to pay taxes and even parking tickets on-line.

There are also links to all town departments, boards and committees and meeting agendas and minutes.

Founded in Portland, Mane, Virtual Town Hall is a website provider for cities, towns, counties, school districts and more. Now headquartered in Boxborough, Mass., the company now supports over 500 municipal clients.
