PORTSMOUTH — Ever wonder what Portsmouth looked like 100 years ago?
On Wednesday, April 25, The Portsmouth Historical Society, in conjunction with the Common Fence Point Improvement Association, will present an illustrated lecture by Jim Garman, town historian and Society president.
Mr. Garman will draw on his extensive personal collection of historic photographs to show what the town looked like in 1918.
The lecture will begin at 7 p.m. at the community hall, located at 933 Anthony Road. Admission is free and no prior registration is required.
The event is part of a series of lectures offered throughout the year by the Portsmouth Historical Society, whose mission is to “preserve, protect and promote” the town’s history.
