Work on new Barrington Middle School starts this week

Temporary fences going up around construction project

Posted

Construction of the new Barrington Middle School will begin this week.

The work will include the identification of trees on the property that will be protected during the project; the installation of temporary fences around the site; installation of construction entrances and contractor parking; and the closure of the athletic fields, basketball courts and wall ball.

Officials emailed abutters to the middle school property and parents of middle school students alerting them to the upcoming work. Officials also shared a link to a new blog that will feature project updates.

"We are excited to report that the BMS Building Project is in its beginning stages," stated the blog.

The blog also stated that the noise level would be "minimal" and traffic patterns would remain as they currently are.
