Davies star sinks Tiverton girls by one point

TIVERTON — Davies stormed back to edge Tiverton by a single point, 44-43 Thursday, Dec. 22, on the Tigers’ home floor. Davies’ Tiana DaSilva scored 26 for the winners including 10 of 13 from the foul line, well over half of her team’s points. Only four Davies players scored points.

Katie Phillips scored 16 for Tiverton including four 3-pointers. Lauren Gamache added 12 points and also tossed in four 3-pointers.

Other Tiverton scorers included Haley Mendoza and Heidi Kiser with four apiece; Jordan Murphy and Aja Caldwell with three each; andIreland McGreavy with two points.

The loss left Tiverton with a record of 1-2. Davies moved to 1-1.
