To the editor:

Just an update after my first budget meeting. It appears the taxes in town will have to go up about 1 percent — the reason is school roofs and heating system ( town referendum vote).

This doesn't make me very happy. The only way to stop the annual burden of tax increases is to bring new businesses to town.

Next,trash pick-up is on the line. Let's not lose trash pick-up for 20 cents a day, $72 dollars a year. I don't use this service but it's an asset we don't want to lose. Come to the meeting at the high school on January 30. Let’s save trash.
