This announcement just in from the Westport Land Conservation Trust ....

I regret to inform you that due to the high likelihood of heavy rain and thunderstorms this evening, we have opted to CANCEL the Spooky Walk with the Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust scheduled for 5:30 PM tonight at the Headwaters Conservation Area.

DNRT and WLCT hope to see you at our next joint program, the Annual Super Bowl Walk, scheduled for Super Bowl Sunday February 5th, 2017. The Super Bowl Walk is a hugely popular 7-mile hike beginning at the Slocum River Reserve in Dartmouth and ending at the Westport Rivers Winery in Westport. We had over 150 people join us for last years walk and we hope to see you there!

Happy Halloween!

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
