Adam M. Cleary 29, Tiverton

Adam Michael Cleary 29 of Tiverton, passed away on July 12, 2017.  Born in Fall River, he was the son of Lisa (Frazier) and Michael Cleary of Tiverton.  He had worked at Greico Toyota. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Bryant Cleary, Ashlyn Cleary (finance Garret Cowen) and Raegan Cleary, all of Tiverton.  He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Jeannette Frazier of Tiverton, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was the grandchild of the late John and Margaret Cleary and John Frazier, all of whom resided in Tiverton.

He was a 2005 graduate of Tiverton High School and received his associates degree from Bristol Community College.

Adam was a coach with the Tiverton Jr. Basketball League and a participant/player with the Fall River Independent Baseball League.  A sports fan, he was an avid Yankee Fan.  He also enjoyed playing video games. 

 Visitation will be held Monday from  6 to 8 p.m.  His funeral will be held on Tuesday at  9 a.m.  from the Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home 462 Main Rd, Tiverton, with  10 a.m. graveside aervice at Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton.  www,almeida-pocasset.com for on line guestbook.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
