Join the Portsmouth Police for National Night Out on Tuesday
PORTSMOUTH — Members of the Portsmouth Police Department are looking forward to greeting members of the public during National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 1, at Sandy Point Beach.
The event which runs from 6:30-9 p.m., is being run in conjunction with the Portsmouth Recreation Department.
National Night Out is an event meant to increase awareness about police and other programs in communities.
From 6:30-7:30 p.m., learn about police programs in Portsmouth, and the Recreation Department will be on hand with complementary food and refreshments, including pizza, chips and ice cream).
There will also be games for the kids and some raffles for the adults, and the Recreation Department will reveal some of its fall programming.
Starting at 7:30 p.m., the event will conclude with a screening of the Walt Disney film, “Moana.”
