Leslie Anne Gingras, 88, of Tiverton, daughter of the late Wilfred J. and Alice A. (Parker) Gingras, passed away very peacefully on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Southpointe Rehabilitation Center, Fall River, following a long illness.

She graduated from Suffolk University in 1950 earning her Masters Degree in Business Administration. She was an avid reader and was passionate about vans, trucks, traveling and Blue Grass music. A former long haul tractor trailer truck driver, she was also a road instructor and skid test driver and was employed by Guimond Farms, Trans-Cold Express, Transamerica Freight Lines, Motor Freight Express, Roadway Express, Avis Rent-A-Car and Viti Mercedes.

She leaves a brother, Normand A. Gingras of Tiverton and a sister, Lorraine I. Bernard of Somerset.

Her funeral Mass will be held Thursday, March 23, at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa Church Tiverton. Donations may be made to Myasthenia Gravis Foundation, 355 Lexington Ave., New York, NY 10017. Funeral arrangements entrusted to AuclairFuneralHome. Online guest book at AuclairFuneralHome.com.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986.
