It’s an exciting time at the Tiverton Public Library!  From eclipse events to craft fairs, the library schedule is filled with programs for children, teens and adults.

Now in our third year at the new building, the library provides a spacious and up-to-date facility for studying, reading, meetings, lectures, movies, live performances, stem programs, book discussions, literacy services and so much more.

The library is currently developing our five-year plan.  This plan will roll out a set of goals and actions that will bring new innovations, ideas and resources to the library.  In order to best serve the community, we need your ideas.

Please let us know what you think about library, what you like and dislike, what services you think are worthwhile, what you envision for a library of the future.  Please spend a few minutes and take the library survey!  You can find the survey on-line at the library web-site (www.tivertonlibrary.org), or if you prefer, you can get a hardcopy survey at the library.

Your opinion matters—please support the library and keep our library a source of pride for Tiverton!

Meet our staff
Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
