Maria Laudalena Oliveira, 83, of Tiverton, passed away on Wednesday, Feb 27, 2019.  She was the widow of Eduardo Oliveira.  Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Martins) and Gil Damaso. 

She had worked as a seamstress in the garment industry. She loved her children and grandchildren and is survived by sons Gil Oliveira (wife Anna) Oliveira of Illinois, and Edward Oliveira; daughters Margaret Fortin (husband Albert) and Ann Marie Azevedo (husband Gracilino), all of Tiverton.  She also leaves 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.  She was the sister of the late Manuel Sousa Damaso. 

She enjoyed sewing, bingo, traveling and cooking. 

Visitation will be Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home, 462 Main Road, Tiverton, prior to the Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St Christopher's Church. Burial will be at Pocasset Hill Cemetery.  www.almeida-pocasset.com for on-line guest book.
