Michael Henry Blanchette, 61, of Worcester, formerly of Medway, Mass., died suddenly December 20, 2018, in the Metro West Medical Center in Framingham.

He was born on January 31, 1957, in Newport, to Henry and Della (Jones) Blanchette of Tiverton. Michael was raised in Tiverton and lived in Medway for several years before moving to Worcester.

He was a graduate of Tiverton High School and Wentworth Institute of Technology and was an architect and partner of Newbury Design Associates.

Michael enjoyed life, traveling, the beach, spending time with family and friends, and most of all, laughing. Michael brought smiles to all who were blessed to have known him.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his life partner, Christine Burnham of Worcester; his daughters, Jillian Blanchette, Kelsey Blanchette, and Delaney Blanchette of Medway; his stepdaughter, Stephanie Burnham of Worcester; and his stepson, Michael Stober of Taunton.

He was the brother of Susan Clarke of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, Cindy Pineau of Westport, and the late Peter Blanchette.

Calling hours were Wednesday, Dec. 26, in the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com), Medway. Services and burial were private.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
