Gary G. Sylvia, 59, Warren

Gary Gerard Sylvia, 59, of Broad Street, passed away Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016.  

Born in Providence, he was the son of Frank J. Sylvia and the late Mary N. (Andrade) Sylvia. In addition to his father Frank, he is survived by his brother Allen  Sylvia and his wife Patricia of Seekonk, MA; sister Maryann Reed of Virginia Beach, VA; niece Alicia Welch of Rehoboth, MA and nephews Kyle Sylvia of Providence and Allen Raimer of Virginia Beach.

Gary attended Warren schools and was a letter carrier for the US Postal Service in Portsmouth. He was a member of Arruda’s Accordion Band and enjoyed bowling.

Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 21 from the George Lima Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian burial in St. Elizabeth’s Church in Bristol. Burial followed in St. Jean’s Cemetery, Warren.

Memorial donations may be made to the East Bay Center, 610 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence RI  02915 Attn: Robert Crossley.
