Helen K. (Dunaj) Gosselin, 95, of Somerset, passed away Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016 at Catholic Memorial Home, after a long illness.

She was born on June 2, 1921 in Warren, R.I., the daughter of the late Walter and Katharyn (Ginalski) Dunaj, and was wife of 70 years of the late Joseph Gosselin. A 1938 graduate of Warren High School, she worked a press at Royal Products in Warren for more than a decade before joining Raytheon Co. in Portsmouth, RI, retiring in 1980.

A loving and generous mother and grandmother, she enjoyed music, dancing, needlework, puzzles, slot machines and games of chance. Baptized, confirmed and married in St. Casmir’s Church in Warren, she was a communicant of Saint Louis de France Church in Swansea.

She was predeceased by brothers, George Dumay and U.S. Navy Boilermaker 1st Class Stanley Dunaj; sisters, Suzanna Goloski, Madeline Head, Mary Gosciminski Chew and granddaughter, Katharyn Sengel. She is survived by daughter, Catherine Sengel of Warwick, RI; son, Stanley Gosselin and wife, Clare, of Rehoboth; grandchildren, Thaddeus Sengel, Seth Asa and wife, Mary Lana; Max, Samuel and Sadie Gosselin; sister-in-law Juliette Bizier of Fall River, and nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, followed by a Mass of Christian burial in Saint Louis de France Church, 56 Buffington St., Swansea, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick Cemetery, Somerset.
