Katherine E. (Lombardi) Leonard, 84, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2016. She was the wife of the late Richard D. Leonard, Jr., to whom she was married for 53 years before his passing in 2006.

Born in Fall River, MA., a daughter of the late Michael and Ellen (Collins) Lombardi, she was raised in Warren and lived in Riverside for 63 years.

She leaves her children, Katherine Bagwell and her husband Ronald of Riverside, Karen Leonard-Evans of Newport, Stephen Leonard and his wife Guylaine of Barrington and Nancy Blanchette and her husband Roger of Portsmouth; seven grandchildren, Lisa, Erin, Amanda, Nicholas, Benjamin, Jeffrey and Laura; five great-grandchildren and a niece, Maryellen McNair. She was the sister of the late Raymond M. and John T. Lombardi.

She will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother with a generous heart towards all.

Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 8, in St. Brendan Parish, 60 Turner Ave., Riverside, RI, with burial in St. Alexander’s Cemetery, Greenlawn Avenue, Warren. Contributions may be made in her honor to Amos House, 460 Pine St., Providence, RI 02907.
