Norman A. Lambert, 95, of Swansea MA, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at the Silver Creek Nursing Home in Bristol. He was the husband of Florence (Miranda) Lambert.

Norman was born in Warren, a son of the late Arthur and Laura (Belanger) Lambert. He was a foreman and machinist in the Research and Development department of G.W. Dahl for many years.

He was a United States Army veteran, serving as a corporal during World War II. He had been a Swansea resident for more than 32 years, coming from Warren, and was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. He was also also a a VFW Life Member and a member of the Bristol Elks, Knights of Columbus, American Legion and the Warren Rod and Gun Club.

Besides his wife, he leaves his children, Robert E. Lambert of Eureka, Calif. and Roberta A. Duquette of Somerset; his grandchildren, Jennie Gagliardi and Ryan Duquette; his great-grandchildren, Brad, Kyle, Alex, Lexi and Ben; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Roger Lambert, Charles Lambert, Louis Lambert, Alice Marcello, Beatrice Pimental and Rene Conti.

His funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, from Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:30 a.m. in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave., Warren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Saturday morning from 9 to 11 a.m. Burial will be at a later date.
