It’s settled — Zoe Fournier-Swire can spell.

The Kickemuit Middle School eighth grader (at left) won the Bristol Warren Regional School District’s annual spelling bee Thursday night, accomplishing what few, if any have done — it’s her third straight victory in the competition. Zoe, who first won two years ago as a sixth grader and again last year, competed this year against about three dozen contestants from across the district. She’ll represent Bristol Warren in the state spelling bee later this year. Above, Zoe smiles for the camera with third place finisher Sofia Sanneh (left) and Jameson Vitullo (second). Zoe won the bee by correctly spelling the word ‘amnesia.’
