Warren police logs: Car, deer collide

Monday, July 11
Fire crews put out a Dumpster fire behind a Main Street business.
Police dispersed a group of juveniles at the end of Beach Street. They had a fire going, but the police put it out.
Tuesday, July 12
Police got a call about a man and woman yelling on Metacom Avenue.
A woman reported that her friend’s ex damaged property in her Union Street apartment.
A neighborhood dispute over a property line and grass clippings drew police to Canario Drive just before 2 p.m.
An aggressive driver was reported on Market Street. A similar call came in later in the day from Haile Street.
Brendan M. Doyle, 29, of Barrington, was charged with disorderly conduct after police were called to Market Street to check on the well-being of an intoxicated man. Police noted that one person was transported to the hospital, but did not say whether it was Mr. Doyle.
A Bowen Street woman suspected someone was in her basement and called the police.
Wednesday, July 13
A Vernon Street resident complained that someone rummaged through his trash.
Barking dog calls came in from Brown and Main streets.
A Ridgeway Drive woman told police that someone stole mail out of her mailbox.
An unruly juvenile was reported on Water Street.
A Child Street woman reported having an argument with her child’s father.
Thursday, July 14
David P. Sousa, 38, of 91 Arlington Ave., Apt. 1R, was picked up on a warrant for domestic disorderly conduct.
An Arlington Avenue man told police that someone rummaged through his car overnight and took a watch, medication and other items.
A car struck a deer on Main Street, near Jacob’s Point, just before 4:30 p.m.
A Grant Street caller complained of a fraudulent phone/Internet account opened in his name.
Two people called to report loud music on Ellis Avenue.
Friday, July 15
A Metacom Avenue man told police that his neighbors attempted to assault him. After he grabbed a hammer to defend himself, they went back int other apartment.
Police and fire crews got a 911 call about a shed fire on Stuart Street.
A stolen check complaint came in from Beach Street.
Saturday, July 16
A Federal Street woman complained that her ex was yelling, banging on the door and attempting to get in. Police came and dispersed the man.
A possibly drunk woman who was swearing at the Warren Town Beach was turned over to the custody of a friend.
Police got a complaint about a large party on Coomer Avenue.
Sunday, July 17
A Metacom Avenue man reported that his ex-girlfriend had been assaulted by her new boyfriend.
Police got a call about a man on the ground near the basketball courts on Market Street. Police checked it out and called for a rescue for the man, who was very drunk.
Monday, July 18
A husband/wife argument was called in on Market Street just after midnight.
A suspicious car noted on Water Street at 2:44 a.m. turned out to be occupied by at least one person playing Pokemon Go.
