Warren police logs: More coyote sightings

Monday, Jan. 16

A coyote was spotted trotting down a Main Street sidewalk just after 9 a.m.

Police were called to Westminster Street just before 4 p.m. for a neighborhood dispute over noise.

Tuesday, Jan. 17

Police were called to an Overhill Road home for a child custody issue.

A wallet was reported stolen on Main Street.

A Wood Street resident complained that an upstairs neighbor was banging. On what, the report does not specify.

A Union Street man reported receiving harassing messages from his ex-girlfriend.

Wednesday, Jan. 18

A loud music complaint came in from Metacom Avenue at 1:08 a.m.

Matthew P. Perreault, 26, of 394 Market St., second floor, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license.

A Union Street woman complained that there were multiple issues in her apartment that her landlord has failed to address.

Police got a call about an 11-year-old runaway on Harris Avenue. At 5:43 p.m., 24 minutes after the initial call, the boy returned home.

A Water Street woman asked to speak with an officer about a domestic situation.

Jonathan Rawson, 35, of Bristol, was charged  with three counts of writing fraudulent checks under $1,000.

Thursday, Jan. 19

Robert A. Ivey, 46, of Newport, was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct after a caller on Metacom Avenue told police that he approached his car asking for money.

Police assisted a woman who locked herself out of her running car on Asylum Road.

Police dispersed a group of kids playing manhunt on Asylum Road at 5:40 p.m.

Police spoke to two people reported loitering on Wood Street.

A coyote was spotted on Serpentine Road at 6:17 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 20

Ernest A. Edwards, 40, of Providence, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, second offense.

Copper was reported stolen from a home on Buffalo Avenue.

A Brittney Lane complained about two men soliciting door to door.

A loud party was reported on Terrace Avenue. Police told they partners to keep it down.

A Davis Street woman called police just after 11 p.m. to report that a man was loitering outside her window.

Saturday, Jan. 21

Mason Stephens, 25, of 653 Metacom Ave., was charged with domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct; they picked him up on a warrant.

A caller reported that a man was “screaming profanities” into his cell phone. Police caught up with the man on Market Street, who told them he was angry because his phone was not working.

A panhandler call came in from Main Street just after 3:30 p.m.

Jason C. Daluz, 31, of 6 Beejay Court was picked up on an East Providence domestic warrant.

Derek J. Renaud, 34, of 186 Vernon St., was arrested on a Rhode Island Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear for restitution review on a fraudulent credit card.

A panhandler complaint came in from Water Street.

A caller from Main Street told police that another man “acted in a threatening manner toward him.”

Sunday, Jan. 22

An aggressive driver complaint came in from Main Street just after 3 p.m.

A caller from Main told police a panhandler was stopping traffic on Main Street.

A group of juveniles were reported fighting on Water Street. turns out they were just playing football.

Monday, Jan. 23

A bike was reported stolen from Buffalo Avenue.

Police spoke with a man spotted rummaging through recycling bins on Child Street.

A William Avenue person complained that a gazebo was blocking the road. Police noted that the gazebo was later moved off the road.
