Warren police logs: More coyote sightings

The animal control officer dispersed a resident walking his dog at the Warren Town Beach, presumably without a leash.

A car struck a deer on Market Street at 9:41 p.m.

A caller from Davis Street reported being assaulted by a neighbor.

Tuesday, Jan. 31

Police spoke to a woman spotted removing recyclables from bins at Water and Johnson streets.

Someone spotted a coyote limping down Napoleon Street. Police couldn’t locate the animal.

Wednesday, Feb. 1

A Wood Street resident reported the theft of items following an apparent break-in.

David W. Salvatore, 56, of 385 Metacom Ave., #3R, was charged with possession of drugs and driving while in possession of controlled substances, after police pulled him over on Arlington Avenue.

Someone reported a man carrying a knife while walking in the middle of Metacom Avenue.

Thursday, Feb. 2

The animal control officer got a call about an injured coyote on Cutler Street.

Police got a call about a large group of youths acting disorderly on Child Street.

A Miller Street woman called police to report that someone apparently damaged a lock while attempting to break into her home.

A Metacom Avenue man reported getting into a dispute with his girlfriend.

Friday, Feb. 3

A Highview Avenue woman came home to find her trash dumped in the middle of her driveway. She said she believes she is being harassed and asked for extra patrols in the neighborhood.

Douglas R. Silvia, 54, of 384 Metacom Ave., Apt. 3, was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, after police investigated a suspicious person on Rosa Boulevard at 4:44 a.m.

Someone siphoned fuel from heavy equipment parked at a Market Street site.

Police got a call about a group of disorderly kids on Asylum Road.

A caller complained that someone threw trash out of a car window while driving on Main Street.

Wayne R. Johnson, 55, of 656 Main St., Apt. 6, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, second offense, after police pulled him over on Metacom Avenue at 9:22 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 4

Marcus A. Jones, 27, of 146 Main St., Apt. 3, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, after police pulled him over on Child Street at 11:33 p.m.

Sunday, Feb. 5

A caller reported arguing in the front yard of a Hall Avenue home.

A caller reported a pickup driving down the Warren Bike Path toward the Broken Bridge.

Christopher R. Cioe, 27, of 109 Market St., second floor, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, after police pulled him over on Metacom Avenue at 4:18 p.m.

A fireworks call came in from Arlington Avenue at 10:34 p.m. That was just about the time the New England Patriots had completed the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history.
