Adelino Vieira, 79, of Warren, died Sunday, August 26, 2018 at home. He was the husband of Maria P. (Dutra) Vieira.

Adelino was born in Terceira, Azores, Portugal, a son of the late Joao Carvalho and Maria (Dos Anjos) Carvalho. He was a Machine Operator for over 35 years for the Royal Electric Company.

He had lived in Warren since 1976 coming from Portugal. A parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, he was a member of the Warren Holy Ghost Society. Mr. Vieira was a also a member of the Warren Soccer Club -- WRCPW.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons, Joseph Vieira of Warren, Adelino D. Vieira of Bristol and Joseph M. Vieira of Warren; his siblings, Luciano Vieira of Warren, Manuel Carvalho of Methuen, MA., John Carvalho of Azores, Portugal, Jesuina Carvalho of Azores, Portugal, Fatima Acevedo of Lawrence, MA. Mr. Vieira was the grandfather of seven and the great-grandfather of one. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Adelino was the brother of the late Zelia Ferreira, Ilda Ferreira, Amelia Magina and Maria Ormondo.

His funeral will be held Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 8 am from Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9 am in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave., Warren. Burial will be in St. Mary of the Bay Cemetery, Vernon Street, Warren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm.
