Diane was an office worker in several companies during her work time. Her passion was her family, especially her nieces and nephews. It was her pleasure and joy to watch them grow, babysit, choose gifts for them, encourage them with unconditional love.

Diane had a circle of very close friends that date back to childhood, co-workers, and racing friends. These friends were so important to her; their families became her family. Loyalty, compassion, and selflessness were given and returned. Each of her friends walked this last journey with her: loving her with encouragement, hand made quilts and blankets, flowers, and visits.

A celebration of Diane’s life will be 10 am Saturday January 6, 2018 at The Baptist Church in Warren, Main and Miller Streets.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
