Karen M. (Abbruzzi) Travers, 71, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2018 in Delray Beach, Florida, after a prolonged illness. Prior to her recent move, Karen was a long-time resident of Warren. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late James and Grace (Kinney) Abbruzzi. Karen was also the partner of the late Tom Lamora. Friends since childhood, they shared three years and thousands of laughs together. She graduated from Warren High School in 1964 and was employed at John Andrade Insurance until her retirement.

Karen enjoyed spending time with friends and family, dancing and singing Elvis and Streisand tunes. She loved the Patriots, traveling and going to shows, and will be remembered for her generosity, infectious laughter and unwavering kindness. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and meant the world to her.

Karen is survived by her children, Joseph Travers Jr. of Warwick and Jayne Conway of Block Island, as well as three grandchildren, Sam Onorato and Olivia and Zoe Conway. She is also survived by her sister Gail Amman (Robert) of East Providence, brother Kenneth Abbruzzi (Patricia) of Ocala, Florida, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom she loved dearly. She was predeceased by her brother James Abbruzzi (Judith) of Bristol.

Memorial donations may be made to the Cutaneous Lymphoma Foundation (www.clfoundation.org), PO Box 374, Birmingham, MI 48012
