Letter: New automatic doors at Warren Post Office

Posted

To the editor:
This is information to all elderly citizens and disabled citizens of Warren. After a 17-month battle with postal officials, I prevailed and now we have an automatic door opener installed at the Warren Post Office. I had to battle postal officials all the way to Washington, DC, which included requests from both Senator Whitehouse and Congressman Cicilline’s office, which both failed to get this issue resolved. The request was simple: A need to have an automatic door opener was to assist the handicapped and elderly citizens easier access into the post office. I can say that I fought government bureaucracy and I won.
