Steven P. Marabello, 65, of 20 Libby Lane, Warren, died Saturday, December 22, 2018 at his home. Born in Providence and raised in Bristol and a resident for many years, he was the son of Pauline J. (Aguar) Marabello of Bristol and the late Frank A. Marabello.

Steven was an electrician and started his career with Larry Hynson Electrical Contractors and then for the American Tourister Company, formerly in Warren, and lastly with Trifari-Monet Co., formerly in East Providence, for over 25 years, retiring in 1989. He enjoyed CB radios, tinkering and fixing things for family and friends, playing pool and fishing.

He is survived in addition to his mother by his two children, Gina E. Miller (Donald) of Lincoln and Steven P. Marabello Jr. of Scituate; four grandchildren, Mya, Marcus, Malia and Maxton; siblings Carl Marabello (Marie) and Paula Nutini (Robert), both of Bristol, and his longtime companion, Donna Dias of Bristol.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, at 10 a.m., with a graveside service at 11 a.m. in the North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visitation will be Saturday morning only from 9 to 10 a.m. Kindly omit flowers.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
