Tyska: Support wind and solar — and infrastructure improvements

Posted

Bristol and Warren are well aligned to create positive economic opportunities from the growth of wind and solar energy in the East Bay. We must work accordingly to secure such opportunities to expand development of the local workforce.

We must also certify the clear benefits that wind and solar development projects have for Rhode Islanders and the energy infrastructure in our communities. Greater demands must be made of our utility providers in Bristol and Warren so that necessary improvements are made for the future stability of our power supply.

Frequent power outages and inefficient protections for critical equipment are a known nuisance for our quality of life and serious challenge for local businesses. We in District 68 have much at stake to consider while we look forward to more wind and solar, and how infrastructure improvements will help build our economy.

Andy Tyska

Bristol

Mr. Tyska is a Democratic candidate for R.I. House of Representatives, District 68.
