PROVIDENCE — Filings in Sixth District Court identify an East Bay man as the suspect in the murder of an East Providence resident 10 days ago.

Owen Morris, 21 and of Warren, was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 23, in Providence for the slaying of Dr. Clive Bridgham, a noted Barrington chiropractor and resident of East Providence.

It is alleged by East Providence Police, Morris stabbed Bridgham to death inside his home located on Pleasant Street on the evening of Thursday, Jan. 11. Officers found Bridgham dead in a room of the dwelling after receiving a call requesting information on his well being some time around 8 p.m.

According to EPPD, Morris is being charged with first degree murder.
