Warren police: Connecticut man charged with using fake ID

Monday, Sept. 17

Police got a call about a man sleeping in the woods behind Vernon Street.

A motorist called police after a bucket of nails accidentally dropped out of his vehicle and onto Metacom Avenue. Officers came out and helped him pick them up.

Tuesday, Sept. 18

Lorna L. Church, 32, of 397 Child St., Apt. 2R, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of her license, after an accident on Asylum Road.

Rescue transported an intoxicated man to the hospital after getting a call from Main Street just before 3 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 19

A King Street man reported the theft of a four-wheeler from his garage.

A Main Street resident reported the theft of her wallet, which she said was stolen while she was on a RIPTA bus 12 days earlier.

Fire crews extinguished a car fire on Overhill Road.

Police were called to Napoleon Street by a mom whose juvenile daughter apparently refused to hand over a vape pen. Police arrived and an officer reported that the pen was taken from the girl.

Thursday, Sept. 20

A Kelly Street man reported the attempted theft of his car. He told police he thought someone attempted to hotwire it.

A Main Street man reported the theft of his tool bag from his car.

A young boy who was locked out of his house flagged own an officer for assistance. The officer managed to reach the boy’s mother, who was inside sleeping.

William H. Francis, 45, of Somerset, was charged with driving under the influence of liquor or drugs, first offense, BAC .15 or greater, after a caller reported an erratic driver who may have hit a curb on Metacom Avenue. 

Friday, Sept. 21

Alexandra E. Lombardo, 27, of 938 Main St., was arrestedon a Rhode Island Superior Court warrant.

Police got a report that a student walked out of school at 8:44 a.m.

A caller told police that his friend’s car was damaged, and that it might have been involved in a hit and run.

Liam Duffy, 19, of Herron, Conn., was charged with unlawful drinkning/ID card misuse after an employee at a Metacom Avenue establishment asked for an officer to check a customer’s ID.

A Norbert Street woman told police that a man entered her back yard without permission.

Saturday, Sept. 22

The harbormaster helped a man whose boat started taking on water on the Warren River.

A Broad Street woman told police that someone hacked her email and social media, and stole money from her.

Abiodun Okikiola, 27, of Providence, was charged with disorderly conduct, simple assault or batter and resisting arrest, after police got a call from his brother, who said he’d been assaulted.

Cara Markarian, 24, of Cranston, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, first offense, after police pulled her over on Market Street at 8 p.m. 

Sunday, Sept. 23

A caller complained about a man riding his bike home on Kickemuit Road just after 1 a.m. The caller complained about the bicyclist’s loud radio, and when police caught up with him he turned it off.

Jared A. Ose, 45, of Providence, was charged with violating a protective order.
