Monday, April 23

An injured pet bird was discovered on Metacom Avenue and returned to its owner.

A caller from Everett Street complained about loud rap music.

A caller complained about a man sitting outside on Wood Street who looked like he was waiting for a drug deal. Police said there was no issue with the man. He lives in the neighborhood and was just going for a walk.

Feras K. Aljohani, 24, of Riverside, was charged with driving without or on an expired license, first offense.

A Sisson Street woman complained that her neighbors were too loud “when they talk and play games.”

Tuesday, April 24

A Warren man complained that his son was being bullied at school. Police said they would talk to school staff.

Police got a call from a Brady Street resident who saw a boy carrying what she thought could be a firearm in his back pocket. Police arrived, discovered a BB gun in his backpack, and notified the boy’s mother.

A clerk at a Market Street establishment complained that a man walked out without paying his bill.

Wednesday, April 25

A caller reported a dead coyote at Colin Circle.

Police were called to Child Street for a landlord/tenant dispute.

A Child Street resident reported receiving harassing phone messages.

A woman having an issue with her cell phone called police; officers told her to contact her service provider.

Thursday, April 26

A Calder Drive resident complained that a neighbor cut down trees on his property.

Someone stole a computer tablet from a Davis Street home, the owner reported.

Friday, April 27

Brian P. Gale, 44, of Bristol, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, first offense, after police pulled him over on Market Street at 6:07 a.m.

Police got a call about a deceased rabbit on Main Street.

The principal of the Hugh Cole School reported that a student was out of control. The boy’s mother came to pick him up.

A Market Street man came in to report an ongoing issue with his ex and her daughter.

A man called police after he sold a TV to a friend but wasn’t paid in a timely manner.

Saturday, April 28

A Long Lane woman said a stranger called her and asked her to open her garage door.

A walk-in found an ATM card on Metacom Avenue and turned it over to police.

An Old Warren Road woman reported her car stolen.

Police and fire crews assisted when a vote became stranded in the Warren River, just south of the Warren bridge. Police said several residents helped tow the stranded boat to shore and it was later put on a mooring by fire department volunteers aboard the town’s Marine 3 rescue boat.

A Luther Street juvenile reported receiving strange text messages.

Sunday, April 29

Marie S. Lemos, 63, of 3 Fifth St., was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after police pulled her over at Metacom Avenue and Franklin Street at 1:30 a.m.

Police received a request for rescue from an intoxicated Sisson Street man who said he was not feeling well. He was taken to the hospital.

Fire crews helped pump out the basement of a Church Street resident after he called police after finding a foot of water. The flooding was due to a broken water pipe, police said.

A Metacom Avenue woman told police she believed that a group of kids stole her phone. The phone was later returned; but the log is not clear on who had it.
