Warren police logs: DUI for East Providence man

Monday, April 30

Callers reported graffiti damage to buildings on Market and Child streets.

A caller reported that a patient at a Metacom Avenue medical facility assaulted another patient over the weekend.

A Libby Lane resident called to report missing batteries. An officer followed up and noted that the resident located them.

The animal control officer came out for a bird stuck in a fence at Serpentine and Schoolhouse roads.

Timothy E. Smith, 40, of 15 Bridge St., first floor, was picked up on a warrant for domestic assault on a person over 60 causing bodily injury, and domestic disorderly conduct.

Tuesday, May 1

A caller complained about a vehicle parked on the East Bay Bike Path. It turned out to be associated with a work crew doing work on the path.

A student at the Kickemuit Middle School was found in possession of an e-cigarette. Though police were notified, the matter was handled internally by the school.
A goat got loose and goated its way down Laurel Lane.

An anonymous caler comptaient about a naked man in the hockey rink at Jamiel Park. The man was just changing into his hockey gear, police noted.

A South Cornell Avenue resident called police after a child in the home left without receiving permission.

A Brown Street woman told police that she and her ex got into an argument over an iPad.

Wednesday, May 2

A caller found a syringe on Metacom Avenue. Another one found a bike on Franklin Street.

A family member of an intoxicated driver called police to alert them that the person was on the road.

Daniel McMillan, 27, of 30 Campbell St., was arrested on a Rhode Island Superior Court warrant.

A caller noted twopeople walking on Fatima Drive. They seemed to be impaired, the caller said.

Thursday, May 3

A loose dog was reported on Kinnicutt Avenue.

A Kinnicutt Avenue man told police he spotted a man taking photos of his house. When he approached him the man became upset and drove off.

A Market Street woman told police that someone broke into her car and stole her purse.

A Chestnut Street woman told police her husband refused to let her into the house.

Todd Cristiano, 42, of 17 Martin St., was charged with domestic disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and vandalism/malicioius injury to property, after police were called to his home by Mr. Cristiano’s girlfriend, who told police he was drunk and she was afraid of him.

A woman told police she was being harassed by an ex through a third party.

Friday, May 4

Police and the animal control officer got a call at 8:46 a.m. for a dog on Main Street that had been barking for several hours.

A woman called from a Main Street business, upset that employees wouldn’t let her father use the restroom. Police arrived and noted that there was no public restroom.
A woman called police to report the she’d given a friend $60 to buy food; when an officer arrived, she changed that amount to $200. Police spoke to the friend, who told them she didn’t give him anything.

A Wood Street resident reported being attacked over social media.

A Main Street woman complained that her ex stole money from her PayPal account.

Saturday, May 5

Talia C. Kelley, 34, of Bristol, was charged with obstructing an officer in the execution of duty, after police attempted to stop and assistant a motorist at Child Street and Metacom Avenue just after 2 a.m.

Fishing equipment was reported stolen from Davis Street.

A man walked into police headquarters and told officers that his son-in-law threatened to sink his boat, which is docked behind the sewer plant on Water Street.

Police turned up no sign of a motorist who a caller suspected was drinking and driving with a child in the vehicle.

A Water Street woman complained that a group of kids pushed her son off his bike.

A Federal streetman reported that a woman had been harassing him via text messages.

An anonymous caller reported people yelling back and forth at each other on Child Street.

A Greene Street resident reported having issues with his neighbors.

Sunday, May 6

Paulo J. Pereira, 45, of East Providence, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after police pulled him over at Main and Wood streets at 1:21 a.m.

Police were called to Shore Drive for a dispute regarding the ownership of a house.

A Davis Street man reported an argument with his neighbors.
