Monday, July 16
Police were asked check on the well-being of an older man on Main Street.
Police were called to Laurel Lane to keep the peace.
A Market Street resident reported the theft of license plates.
Stephen P. Caizzi, 57, of Tiverton, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, first offense, after police pulled him over on Arlington Avenue.
Police were called about a fight between two men on Child Street that occurred just before 7 p.m.
A caller from Sisson Street complained about people talking loudly and playing loud music.
A driver on Main Street called police after she was approached while stopped in traffic by a man who came up to her car and asked for money.
Tuesday, July 17
Two neighbors Union Street got into an argument just before 9 a.m., prompting a call to police.
Tools were reported stolen from Metacom Avenue.
Nobody was injured when a mail delivery truck struck a tree at Child Street and Long Lane.
A resident spotted a coyote at Child Street and Long Lane, and called police.
Wednesday, July 18
Eric S. Viera, 31, of East Providence, was picked up on a warrant for domestic cyberstalking and cyber harassment, domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct.
A Laurel Lane resident complained that a coyote was running through backyards in the neighborhood. Soon after, a similar call came in from Evie Drive.
Thursday, July 19
A caller reported someone driving down Child Street on a car with a missing rear passsenger tire. The call came in at 2:02 a.m.
A rooster got loose and was seen strutting around Englewood Court.
Theresa M. Bettencourt, 50, of Riverside, was picked up on a warrant for being a fugitive from justice.
A Metacom Avenue woman complained that a friend took her tools.
A caller from Central Street told police that someone might be shooting a BB gun in the area. Police checked it out, finding no damage to cars or homes.
Friday, July 20
A coyote was spotted in the front yard of a Ridgeway Drive home, but it ran into the woods as police arrived.
Kenneth S. Anderson, 65, of Bristol, was charged with driving without or on an expired license, after police pulled him over on Main Street at 10:18 p.m.
Police assisted a woman who’d locked herself out of her Munro Avenue home.
A coyote spotted in the front yard of a Fatima Drive home was gone upon police arrival.
A caller reported finding a wallet in his sister’s Ridgeway Drive yard.
A waitress in a Metacom Avenue restaurant told police that a customer gave her an expired credit card, then left.
A caller reported a possible drunk driver on Market Street. Police checked it out with negative results.
Saturday, July 21
A caller told police his friend would not return his cell phone.
A woman reported being assaulted by a coworker.
A Central Street resident reported capturing a person going through his mailbox on video.
An Arlington Avenue woman returned home to find items removed from her apartment.
A Ridgeway Drive woman complained that someone keyed her car.
A caller from Child Street reported smelling marijuana. A police officer who checked it out reported that the smell was from a skunk on Redmond Street being carried over by the wind.
A Davis Street man called police and asked that they remove a woman spotted sitting on his front steps. Police obliged but he called back a little over an hour later to report that she was back.
Sunday, July 22
Livestock got loose on Libby Lane.
A caller asked the police to check on the well-being of a young girl jumping in rain puddles near Market Street.
