Warren police logs: Several charged with DUI

Monday, Oct. 15
A caller from Homestead Avenue complained about someone blaring music inside a black Ford Mustang.
A Metacom Avenue resident reported being harassed by a roommate. A computer might also have been stolen, an officer who investigated reported.
Jonathan J. Mercado, 19, of Pawtucket, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after police got a report of a man and woman fighting in the middle of Union Street just after 2:30 p.m.
A Main Street woman reported losing a briefcase. Officers noted that it was discovered on Franklin Street just over an hour later.
Tuesday, Oct. 16
DPW crews were called to Church Street at 1:35 a.m. after a large tree fell across the road, blocking traffic. About 15 minutes later, police got a call about a large carport that flipped over on to Market Street, and another report about a large branch down on Metacom Avenue, near Overhill Road. A few hours later tent lifted off from a nearby home and ended up in the middle of Market Street. Police were unable to locate the tent’s owner.
Jmaire J. Wray, 19, of 6 Union St., was picked up on a warrant for domestic simple assault/battery, domestic disorderly conduct, domestic vandalism/malicious injury to property and cruelty to animals.
A Terrace Avenue told police he was assaulted by a neighbor after they got into a row over hedgerows.
Fire crews extinguished a kitchen fire that was called in from Connolly Avenue at 7:53 p.m.
A Terrace Avenue woman called police to report that she was now locked out of her apartment, following an argument with her husband.
Wednesday, Oct. 17
Rachel L. Coleman
, 34, of 32 Davis St., Apt. 1, was arrested on a Rhode Island Superior Court warrant.
Police looked for but could not locate a possible drunk driver reported on Main Street just before 1 p.m.
A Water Street woman called police just after 4 p.m. to report that a man was angry and struck her on the back after learning she hadn’t cooked. 1336 of
A Market Street woman told police that someone hit her car while it was parked on the street overnight.
Police got a call about a woman squatting in a vacant apartment on Davis Street. Police said the woman was not there when they arrived; they secured the building.
Thursday, Oct. 18
Someone broke a window on a Main Street storefront. It was discovered by a neighbor early Thursday morning.
A caller reported damage on the Kickemuit Middle School football field on Child Street. Police reported that the damage was caused by a rescue truck driving on the field the previous day.
A caller reported finding syringes in a Water Street parking lot.
A Locust Terrace woman complained that her neighbors might be parking illegally across from her driveway. Police checked and found no violations.
A Napoleon Street woman asked to speak to an office about a disobedient child.
A Main Street woman called the fire department after discovering that her stove would not turn off. There was no smoke or fire, she said, but there as an odor. Fire crews determined that the stove was in self-clean mode.
A woman reported that her child was being threatened by another student at the Kickmuit Middle School.
Friday, Oct. 19
A Union Street woman called police after discovering that her son was sending nude photos of himself to others over the Internet.
A passerby reported a possible assault on the East Bay Bike Path. Police checked it out; it was just an argument; no action was taken.
Vincent E. Pard Jr., 62, of 200 Schoolhouse Road, was charged with driving under the influence of liquor or drugs, first offense, after police pulled him over at Seymour Street and Rollingwood Corut at 7:27 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 20
Joey Ganadeiro
, 32, of Smithfield, was arrested on a Rhode Island Superior Court warrant after police stopped a suspicious person on Child Street at 3:18 a.m.
An Arlington Avenue woman called police after someone rang her doorbell at 3:44 a.m.
Sunday, Oct. 21
Colin David Tabicas
, 30, of Fall River, was charged wit driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after police pulled him over at 1:43 a.m. on Meetacom Avenue.
A Kickemuit Road woman complained about harassment and other issues with an upstairs neighbor.
An employee of a Child Street business reported that a “suspicious” man walked into the establishment’s bathroom five minutes earlier, and had not yet emerged. One minute later, the employee reported that the man exited the bathroom and that there was no issue after all.
A Union Street resident complained at loud music just before 4:30 p.m.
