Warren police logs: Three DUIs over holidays

Monday, Dec. 24

Bristol police alerted Warren authorities to an erratic driver.

A Main Street man called police at 11:16 p.m. to report that someone broke out one of his windows with a brick.

Tuesday, Dec. 25

Manuel Alonzo Ramos, 23, of Providence, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after police pulled him over at Main and Croade streets at 12:10 a.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 26

A Cherry Street woman complained at 12:18 a.m. about a neighbor’s loud music.

A Monast Street man reported his tires being slashed.

A Ridgeway Drive man reported the theft of a license plate.

A Kickemuit Road man reported reaching harassing phone calls.

Police were called to Beach Street just after 7:30 p.m. after a man reported being threatened.

Thursday, Dec. 27

Jermaine R. Brewster, 35, of Newport, was charged with domestic simple assault/battery, third offense, domestic vandalism/malicious injury to property and domestic disorderly conduct, after police were called to Child Street at 3 a.m. for a domestic disturbance.

Louis A. Rego Jr., 34, of 12 Taddy Ave., was charged with domestic vandalism/malicious injury to property and domestic disorderly conduct, after police were called to Taddy Avenue at 11:37 a.m. by a woman who reported a “domestic issue” with her son.

A Long Lane man told police that someone took mail from his mailbox.

Friday, Dec. 28

Michael E. Brum, 48, of East Providence, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after police pulled him over at Main and Vernon streets at 12:34 a.m.

Saturday, Dec. 29

John Silvia, 57, of Bristol, was arrested on a Rhode Island Superior Court warrant after police ran his ID following the stop of a car in which he was a passenger.

Sunday, Dec. 30

Scott P. Cary, 52, of 3 Harding Ave., was charged wit driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after police pulled him over at 1:31 a.m. on Homestead Avenue.

Police got a call about neighbors yelling at each other on Hope Street.

An Almy Avenue woman reported that a man was looking over her fence and walking through a neighbor’s yard. Police arrived and the man explained that he was looking for his drone, which fell somewhere in the area.

A caller complained about loud music on Cutler Street.
