Young Hugh Cole School thespians enrolled in Arts Alive, a non-profit performing arts program based out of Barrington, will stage a production of “The Wizard of Oz” this weekend at the Kickemuit Middle School auditorium in Warren.

“We are thrilled to return to Hugh Cole Elementary,” said Danielle Zavada, executive director of Arts Alive! “We are grateful to work with such amazing kids as well as a the wonderfully supportive Hugh Cole school community. Pulling off a production of this size truly takes a village and we couldn't do it without the help of the parents and school administration.”

The show is co-directed by Jennifer Tilly and Kimberly Lagana, who are experienced in both theater direction and dance education. Both had a great time working with the kids, they said:

“They are so dedicated and it will show when they are on stage,” Ms. Lagana said.

Two performances are scheduled: Friday, April 26 at 6:30 pm and Saturday, April 27 at 12:30 pm.

Tickets are available in online at artsalivebarrington.org. Prices are $5 for children and $8 for adults. They are also available at the door before each performance.
