Pianist Ian Hobson to perform in Rehoboth

Arts in the Village welcomes pianist Ian Hobson for his first appearance in this concert series. The evening’s program will feature works by Chopin and Rachmaninoff.

A musician of tremendous versatility, Hobson has earned an international reputation as a pianist, conductor, and educator. Born in England, he studied music at the Royal Academy of Music, at Cambridge University in England, and at Yale University in the United States. His international career was launched in 1981 when he won First Prize at the Leeds International Piano Competition, having already garnered silver medals at both the Arthur Rubinstein and Vienna-Beethoven competitions.
