James Raposa, 84, Westport

James Raposa, 84, of Westport  Point, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Catholic Memorial Home. He was the husband of Flora R. (Disano) Fusaro-Raposa and the late Joan (Martin) Raposa. 

Mr. Raposa was born in Fall River, son of the late Joseph and Georgina (Rego) Raposa, and had lived in Westport since 1993.

Including his wife, survivors include a son, Joseph Raposa of Fall River; a daughter, Janet Ormerod and her husband Steven of Swansea; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Arthur Raposa.

His funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, December 6, at Catholic Memorial Home, 2446 Highland Ave., Fall River, at 10:30 a.m.

Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Catholic Memorial Home, 2446 Highland Ave., Fall River, MA 02720.

Arrangements are under the direction of the  Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport.
