Joan P. Antonelli, 79, of Westport

Joan P. (Ragonesi) Antonelli, 79, of Westport peacefully passed away at home on Thursday, July 5, 2018, with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Errol M. Antonelli.

Mrs. Antonelli was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Stephen and Irene (Nicolau) Ragonesi and had resided in Westport for 30 years. She had worked as a secretary alongside her husband for the family business, ACME Engineering, Fall River.

Mrs. Antonelli was an avid animal lover and following her retirement, volunteered at Animal Advocates, Westport, and The Humane Society of the United States for many years and was inducted into the HSUS Millennium Leadership Council in recognition of her dedication. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother.

Survivors include her two sons, Errol J. Antonelli and his fiancé Sarah Rebello of Swansea, and Brian J. Antonelli and his wife Maria of Westport; and three grandchildren: Melissa Antonelli, Amber Antonelli and Michael Rebello.

She was the sister of the late Stephen Ragonesi.

Private services under the direction of the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport, Mass., were held.
