Karen H. (Estrella) Bettencourt, 46, of Tiverton, peacefully passed away at home on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Todd E. Bettencourt.

Karen was born in Fall River, daughter of Joan (McElroy) Sadaitis and her husband Michael of North Carolina and the late Antone J. Estrella. Karen had been a longtime resident of Tiverton.

She had worked as a home care nurse for many years. She was a talented, creative and compassionate person who loved spending time with her family, friends and fur babies.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff in the Oncology Department at Charlton Memorial Hospital for the care and support that they gave to Karen.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
