This spurious crisis about the Southern border reminds me of a scene from the 1962 film “The Manchurian Candidate”
The scoundrels keep changing the made up facts they are using to try to dupe the public about an enemy threat.
They finally settle on a particular “fact” that is based on the label of a ketchup bottle.
The parallels are striking.
