Letter: Solar developer ignores Westport neighbors' concerns

To the editor:

To CVE Solar … You have blatantly disregarded your own mission statement. This is a highly developed residential and farming area. The land you are proposing for solar energy (you are not a farm) is based purely on monetary indulgence.

You still have not addressed boundaries to adjacent neighbors and have failed to listen to major conservation and environmental issues discussed at the meeting. The other solar sites you have given are compliant with town and neighbors. You are not the other solar developers.

Misleading information and embellished outcome are downright wrong!  The only reason you have given for this site was due to accessible electrical hookup on Drift Road. You are deforesting a vast area and blocking wildlife from passing safely through the forested area.

This is a money-making endeavor for you and owner Cabral. It does not benefit the community (only 70? people will get a discount). Maybe the town will get a chunk. Do not give us a blanket statement of how this benefits the area.

Do your homework and send representatives who have a clue as to what you are presenting.

Egads!
