Patrick Joseph Dillon died on August 3, 2017, after an illness.  He was the husband of Patricia Lorraine Dillon to whom he had been married 45 years.  He is survived by two sisters, Mary Ann Dillon and Margaret D. Parmelee.

He was the son of the late Edward M. Dillon and Mary C. Dillon.  He is also survived by his niece, Kara A. Parmelee, and her two children, Aidan and Esme Bryar.

Patrick was a graduate of Sacred Hearts School and Bishop Stang High School.  He worked as a mechanic and was sought after for his expertise in car repairs.  He was the owner of Dillon’s Auto Repair in Fall River for many years.

He lived in Westport for the last 25 years and enjoyed his retirement with his wife Pat.  They were affectionately known as Pat and Pat by family and friends.

A memorial service for Patrick will be held at a later date.  Burial will be private.  For tributes and directions, www.waring-sullivan.com

He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
