Annual spring concerts by community chorus

The Greater Tiverton Community Chorus will present its annual spring concert, “Make A Joyful Noise,” under the direction of Christian Black and accompanied by Katie Estrella. The theme celebrates their love of singing and will include a few sing-alongs for the audience.

WHAT: Annual spring concert

WHEN & WHERE: Friday, May 16, at 7:30 p.m. at Westport High School, 400 Old County Road, and on Sunday, May 18, at 3 p.m. at Tiverton High School, 100 North Brayton Road.

COST: $20 at the door or $17 in advance on its website, at Coastal Roasters in Tiverton or at Partners Village Store in Westport. Children under 12 are free.

Meet our staff
Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
