The Arts Alive! performing arts program will return to its participating schools this season. 

Arts Alive will be offering theatre programs and school-play programs for students in grades 1-8 in Barrington, Warren and at the Henry Barnard School in Providence, with a special program geared toward some of the youngest thespians — first-graders.

Arts Alive’s Dena Davis explained the special program: "This program, designed specifically for 6- and 7-year-olds, will develop a range of physical skills and techniques like movement, body language, posture, gesture, coordination, stillness, timing, control; facial expression; eye contact, listening, expression of mood; spatial awareness; interaction with other performers; dance and choral movement. These are foundational skills to build upon throughout their young lives and lead to greater academic success, empathy and social emotional wellbeing."

Hampden Meadows School will kick off the first play of the season in January with "Moana, Jr.," followed by Barrington Middle School and Hugh Cole School in March, Henry Barnard School in April, and concluding the season with a celebration of theatre weekend in June which will feature second- and third-graders from Primrose Hill, Nayatt, Sowams, and Hugh Cole schools.
